"EOF", known as "Erase End Of Field" is a value of X'80' and is defined to IBM Copybook DFHBMSCA.

After you receive a map, you can test a given map field's attribute byte for this value and if it's equal, then the user has pressed the EOF key.

Try Googling DFHBMEOF.
