Hi,

I want to edit a VSAM file through a COBOL program.Please let me know what all I need to mention in the FILE-CONTROL and also in the FILE SECTION.

Is it a KSDS, ESDS, RRDS, VRRDS, or linear VSAM dataset ?

Acces the data by key or sequentially

Try looking at Coding input and output statements for VSAM files in the ENTERPRISE COBOL Programming Guide and the ENTERPRISE COBOL Language Reference.
