DB.

| could you please let me know what is STATISTIC or ANALYZER? Is this is separate utility, do the normal user will have access to run that tool? |

| Don't know your shop but usually the DBA takes care of it. The DBA analyses and reorganises. As a user you could write a program using GN and keep track of the segment types or use DLITEST. |

Hi George,
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Can't we have an unqualified call for the whole IMS-DB and also have a counter which gets incremented after every successful call. In this way we can come up with the total number of recs in a particular IMS-DB.
Plz let me know if this is unclear or if I am wrong somewhere?
