Compare 2 files and replace using DFSORT.

Hi,

I want to compare the dates in 2 datasets both contain it in the pos 1-8.

and replace it in the second file with that in first file if they are not equal.

How should I do a compare and replace using DFSORT?

If the dates are not equal?
Somewhat random, unless there is some sort of key?

Please show an example of the records in each input file for various cases and what you expect for output. Give the form (e.g. yyyymmdd or yyyyddd?) and format (e.g. CH, ZD, PD?) of the date. Give the RECFM and LRECL of the input files.
