1. What is the difference between program function keys and program access keys on a 3270 terminal?

a) Program Function keys are capable of sending data on the screen to the program when program restarts in a psuedo-conversation where as program access keys are not capable of restarting the program in a psuedo-conversation
b) Program Function keys are capable of sending data on the screen to the program when program restarts in a psuedo-conversation where as program access keys are capable of restarting the program in a psuedo-conversation, but can't send data
c) Program Function keys are not capable of starting the program in a psuedo-conversation where as program access keys are capable of restarting
the program in a psuedo-conversation, but can't send data
d) None of the above

I think the answer should be a), please let me know if i am correct or not.

2. i can see "The difference between PA and PF keys lies in the fact that PA keys can send only messages, while the PF keys can send both messages and some data with it." from an article, so could any one please tell me how to "send messages" using PAkeys? what does it mean?

thanks!

The messages that the PA keys return to program is the ID of the key that was pressed.

This is a serious interview question?

Why would anyone outside of a senior Console Operator or SysProg need to know the answer to something like this?
