Cracking the infy test is not very difficult but considering that there are still thousands of candidates applying u have to be very well prepared and competitive. I think the following steps should be enough to crack the infy test.

1> Preperation for Test

a)Solve aptitude questions from RS Agarwal, don?t solve all questions but solve 4-5

problems of each type to get the procedure.

b)Solve all problems of shankuntala devi puzzles to puzzles u and more puzzles.if u have

problems solveing, don panic, it?s vgery natural. Go through the solution and remember the procedure.

c)Solve logical reasoning part of IMS CAT material so that u get familiar with logical

puzzles.

d)Solve all problems from brain teaser?s by george summer?s and Ravi Narula.

Sometimes direct questions are given from these two books.Try to remember the

working process as most problems are easier than those mentioned in summer?s. If u

have time solve some

2-3 LR problems of barrons 10th edition, try only easy ones as tough ones r not usually

asked.

e)Very Very important, solve as many papers as u can, I have attached the 31st OCT

paper that I answered. U can get all previous papers from the Chetana jobs site or just

type infy papers in google.. Follow this step even if u don?t follow a,b, c and d

completely. Sometimes questions are repeated but don?t depend on this solve every

thing but even 1 common question will save lots of time.

f) English is usually easy but sometimes they give tough synonyms so brush up some

from barron?s and be through with prepositions and sentence completions though very

easy. Also solve 2-3 Reading comprehension type question.

2> How to answer the test

a> look for common questions and solve them first, if no questions are common then

don?t panic and start wid 8 marks problems and solve all big time taking problems

first then move to smaller ones. Usually the paper will have two big 8 marks Logical

puzzles which u should solve first. Small aptitude questions are very easy.

b> Show the working procedure of all problems briefly as this will carry weightage

and can fetch u marks even if u?r answer is wrong also infy ppl want the wking

procedure.

c> VERY VERY IMPORTANT TIP puzzles r for 1 hr and English is for ? hr. Solve

puzzles for 1 hr then they take away u?r puzzles question paper and give u the English

paper.Finish the English 45 question in 20 mins and give the last 10 mins to puzzles.

This is a fantastic tip I got from a chetanite and it really helped me get thr as I solved

an 8 marks sum in the last 5 mins.

d> Attempt all questions atleast try to. I think the cut off is usually 34-35/50 in puzzles

and about 30/45 in English. So solve as many as u can.

3> About the interview

The interview is damn cool and anyone who can speak decent English should get through but take it seriously as many ppl have faltered even here. If u do well in the written they ask only HR but usually they ask 2-3 puzzles. Even if u can solve them, be positive, smile and maintain eye to eye contact, all they wanna c is u?r confidence. They asked me the following questions.

1> How do u do?

Ans: How do u do Sir

2> Tell me about u?r self

Ans: Say about u?r family, education strengths, weakness, hobby, talents but as

mentioned in u?r resume

3> Why didn?t u get thr when infy visited u?r campuss.

Ans: say that I wasn?t competent enough but I did my home work this time.

4> About u?r cocurricular activities

5> Have u organized any fest in college?

6> what were the problems u faced

Ans : here say that every thing had 2 be done on short notice and we worked overnight to

counter it.

7> How would u organize a fest in infosys.

8> Tell me about the 8th sem project u did.

Ans: Tell them about the concept don explain anything technical.

9> How is it different from what is being used in industries?

10> Ok we r through any questions?

Ans: best to say no questions.

They didn?t ask me any puzzles but be prepared for puzzles also. Some puzzles they ask are

1> the magnet puzzle

2> the wheel puzzle

3> the planting of trees puzzle

all these u?ll find in the chetana job site.

I think anyone who follows all these steps should get through but above all there is
God who has to decide.

It might be helpful for other forum readers if you could briefly describe what an "Infy Test" is and why or where it may be important.
