I'm writting new IMS DB program for 1st time. My requirement : I need to read a file. The key value will be moved to SSA. Based on SSA i need to make a GU call to segment 'X'. If status code saces write into a file or if 'GE' continue or else abend the program.
I've created a New PSB . But while executing the program it's abending because the status code of ims not = spaces nor ='GE'. As per mySSA it should be 'GE'.
I've not created ACBGEN. Does it require to create ACBGEN?

First tell us the reason of your abend i.e what status- or errorcode was returned. Further it's important what your JCL-parm looks like. For PARM=DLI (batch) no ACBGEN is needed. Explore
