DB2 Stored Proc using COBOL to generate an XML ???

Can anyone help me how to proceed with this kind of a requirement....

I have to write db2 stored proc in Cobol to retrieve data from the table which will be returned through output parm as a varchar.....

n i need to process this varchar in Cobol to generate an XML....

any ideas/suggestions/help docs is highly appreciated....

The Redbook "DB2 for z/OS Stored Procedures: Through the CALL and Beyond" (SG24-7083-00) would be a good place to start.
That and the ENTERPRISE COBOL Language Reference and Programming Guide for the XML stuff.

After you fill your copybook, use the XML GENERATE syntax in Cobol, pretty quick
