What we need in Focus to do simple calculation?

Assume we are not using any mainframe file.
Then Define file statement is need?

Hello,

Before anyone can give you much of an answer, you need to clarify what you want.

If you have no file, how do you do a calculation? When creating a new focus file, you DEFINE it. When using an existing file, use TABLE.

All of the info is in the material from Information Builders support. You can download all of the manuals.
