Hi,
At my shop when I SUBmit a JCL "obtained" via "SJ" comand in spool, it shows "Recovery Suspended" at the top-right corner. It does not affect my processing (I think) but not sure what does it mean & what can be other such messages ?
Can some one please assist me to understand this. |

Yes, infact it stays permanently. However hitting PF1 helps, Thanks..  (strange on my part, I didn't think about this, thanks..), it shows

You can turn recovery mode on or off at any time. Normally, you would turn it on or off before making any changes to the data that is being edited. If you are editing a large file (or member) and will be making very few changes, you may want to turn recovery off to avoid the overhead of writing out all of the data.
On the other hand, if you are entering a large amount of new data, you will probably want to turn recovery on since the benefit in case of a crash is large, and the relative system overhead is small. |
