I am trying to get DCE running on my mainframe and am running into problems. I am running z/OS 1.8 with ACF2. When I try to configure a Security Server via the DCECONF panels, I get an EUVB00088A message saying that my OS/390 Security Server is not enabled. I have verified that in IFAPRD00 that my Security Server is ENABLED. The system has even been IPL'ed with the Security Server enabled.

I can not find any more information on what else I need to do to get past this.

I don't know if by using ACF2, if there is something else I need to do. I couldn't find much in the ACF2 manuals.

If anyone can provide some info to help, that would be great.

Bump!!!

Has anyone have any experience in setting up DCE on the mainframe where the security server also runs on the mainframe and uses ACF2??

I would be interested in knowing how you got this set up. I 'm getting nowhere with IBM and CA.
