How to use Eclipse 3.1 as an IDE for COBOL

So my problem is this. I have eclipse 3.1 on my PC (which is NOT a problem

) and I need to do some work on COBOL. Now I downloaded the plug-in for COBOL from the eclipse.org site. The plug-in is a .zip file and when u extract it, you'll get two folders marked "features" and "plugins". The contents of these have been copied to the eclipse folder (ok "directory" if u INSIST!!!) and after that I started Eclipse.

Now the problem is How do I get into COBOL perspective? When I try to create a COBOL project nothing happens. I am using Fujistu cobol compiler (wincob). Can someone help me on this please!?

did You follow the instruction at

the link sure is helpful...but not able to find Update Manager in Eclipse 3.1. I guess I will just revert to Eclipse 3 and go with ur link. Thanks a lot ...it sure was helpful

did You notice that eclipse is already at 3.3.2 level ??
