Need help to compare two datasets by using Key field

Hi Friends,

I want to compare two Datasets by using key field and need to check whether any matching fields are there or not

If you find a matching row then you need to write second dataset matched record into Output file

You have to do only through Jcl.

Thanks for reply to my query.......

That DFSORT Trick was working....

Is there any chance to get the requirement by using IDCAMS

or any general Utilities other than ICETOOL

ap_mainframes

but how to do this when LRECL for both the datasets are diffrent??
The key remains the same though!!!

When the LRECLs are different, you just pad out the shorter file with blanks so it's the same length as the longer file. If you want more specific help, you need to give more details of what exactly you're trying to do with examples and information about the LRECLs.
