Posting Rules
Start NewTopic
Start a new topic to post your queries. Do not ask your doubts as a reply to another post. Posts are to be made in relevant category/Forum. If you can't find one, post in Other Mainframe topics(e.g. Do not post SQL queries in COBOL Forum).
Use Meaningful Title
Make your topic title meaningful and descriptive. Do not use words such as 'Urgent'/ 'Please'/ 'Help!' or 'Important' in your subject line. Don't use the Forum name as your topic title. In a nutshell, provide as much relevant information as possible you have. At the same time, let the post be short, to the point and not long stories ..
No email-ID
Never post your Email-IDs, IRC links in the Posts or signature. Don't attach your resumes/CV. If you have to submit your resume, upload it to mainframeindia.com and submit the link thru a Private Message.
Don't Shout
Do not use all CAPS, big text size, excessive question marks (?) or exclamation points (!) in your subject or content, the reason being is that this is considered as shouting
Back to top
Search before Post
Try to solve the problem yourself and make sure you have used the 'Search' facility before posting. You may be warned by the moderator, if your query already discussed and solved in our forums. If you are not satisfied with the previous solutions, post the query in the relevant/FAQ forum with your 'search' history.

Acceptable Behavior
Language
All posts must be in English, there are several nationalities roaming here, people must be able to understand what you wrote. It doesn't matter if you write grammatically incorrect English, but never try another language. The forum also has a facility to check spelling, please use it!
Give Respect
Treat others with respect, they are spending their time and head on your problem. Be patient and help others if you can. This is an all volunteer board so if your post gets answered, please remember to thank the posters for their effort.
Give Feedback
Give feedback. If someone helps you by answering your question, try to add a follow-up response letting them know if it worked or not. If you made it work in a different manner or you did not get any result, do make it a point to let the forum know.
