hi to all

1) can anyone suggest a website for tools (like fileaid, xpeditor, endevor)???

2) whatz the use of fileaid,xpeditor, endevor tools?

Hi,

U can load the program into the prod region using the Version Control tool called as Endevor.
Usually all will not have access to add the code to PROD.
Kindly check the same.
If access available, then u can add using the option foreground or batch.

Hi,

Fileaid is a tool to browse the PS. We can query the PS by using the Layout and the ersults couls be seen in different formats like (CHAR,FMT,VFMT).

We can also bowse the layuouts of the PS in Fileaid.

Xpeditor is a tool for testing cobol programs, to be more clear by using this tool we can check the values for the run time variables in STEP by STEP.

Hi Amajhi,
XPEDITOR is used to debug programs, to see the runtime values for the cobol variables.

It's really tough to explain a tool.. Just give a try.

You have your JCL in your personnel dataset. Give the program name and the path for the JCL.

Once you submit, the flow of the program can be seen.
