Hi,

Could anyone please tell how can I avoid my datasets going for migration? I want my datasets on DASD for a period of 1 month.

Thanks,
Rohin

Hello,

Talk with your storage management people to see if they will set up the rules to retain your datasets for 1 month. Do not be surprised if they will not.

If you believe your datasets are more important than other people's, talk with your manager and if your manager agrees, the manager can make the request of the storage management people.

It is usually best to let the system run itself. If you haven't used the data, why not have it migrated? It is only a slight inconvenience.

Why ? As asked by Dick, if you don't use them.
