| I am thinking that if these databases are new - where did the image copies come from? The only thing that I can think of is that the image copies are production datasets and you want to recreate them in test? |

This new database is a test database. We have to copy an older version of a test region database into this (test database) for a regression testing from my side.
They have provided the latest image copied datasets which are to be loaded into the test database. |

| There should be "restore" procedures in place. Your database group should have the JCL. All you need to do is change the names in the input and output databases. |

The contents of the region database has changed. So we can get the required data only from the image copied datasets.
There are lot of procedures, i am a bit confused with the parameters too. It will be great if you can provide a sample JCL. |

| Every "shop" has their own JCL standards. If you search the forum, you will probably come up with some sort of example. Do you have an IMS systems programming group that can help you? RESTORE procedures are what that group uses to restore an IMS database from the IMAGE copy. |
