Hi

Can anyone tell me how to determine which generation is being process currently thru a cobol program.

Say i have a GDG base DPSDSNG.TEST.GDG which has 10 generations. i need to know the generation number of the current GDG file being processed.

Thanks,

Hello,

Start here:

As i mentioned in another of your topics - it will be more work.

I should also mention that the value of the creaton date in the code is extremely limited. If you know the generation, you can easily "look up" the creation date online for any given generation.
