Hello,
Quote: how to convert ascii value to ebcdic by using idd in ca-xcom When data is transferred from the windows environment to the mainframe, the converson is typically automatic.
Is this question related to idms/adso? |

Yes, my question related to CA-IDMS/ADSO.
Please let me know, if CA-XCOM provides any utilities to FTP the IDD from one ASCII based machine to IBM mainframe. |

Hello,
I'm not familiar with IDMS/IDD, but to "ftp" structures from the CA-Datacom DataDictionary, a utility was run to pull the internal structure into a text file. The text file was transferred to the "other" platform and then a dictionary utility was used to insert the structure into the target dictionary. Any ftp vehicle could be used.
If you are looking for some integrated x-com/idms-idd process, your best bet would be to open in issue with CA support. |
