SEARCH FOR A member IN A PDS PATTERN

I need to develop a REXX to search for the presence of a member in a dataset pattern?. Please help.

eg:

MEMBER "AAA"
PDS patetrn "x.y.z*"

I TRIED TO SEARCH THE FORUM, BUT COULDN'T LOCATE ONE!!!!

First of all, maybe you can explain why you don't want to use the existing features of the ISPF DSLIST (Option 3.4) to do what you want?

Second, if you have a need that the ISPF DSLIST option doesn't meet, then you need to at least post what you have done so far and let us know where you are having trouble. No one here is going to do all your work for you.
