Hi ,

If we do an IMS commit, It has to commit DB2 and also MQ(assuming the program is accessing db2 and Mq).

But when i am doing commit in my IMS db program it is not happening as above.

I am issuing ims commit for every 10 records , after 59 records i am forcing the program to abend. In this case 50 records should be inserted in the MQ since for every 10 records i am issuing IMS commit. But, when i looked into the MQ queue , the queue is empty.

Could Anyone please let me know what could be the reason.

Thanks and Regards,
M.Rajesh

Hi,

When an IMS program accessing DB2,MQ issues a IMS commit then automatically IMS has to commit DB2 and MQ.But in my case MQ commi is not being done by IMS.

I am pretty sure that IMS commit will take care of DB2 and MQ.

If you have the solution please let me know

Regards,
Rajesh
