Hi Zosers,
I am a novice to the fantastic Big Iron world.
I have a guest partition on a native mainframes machine which is using Z/vm. My guest partition is Z/OS. I want to know the procedure to transfer datasets between the Lpars or other guest partitions.
We have a test Machine with 2 guest partitions running Z/OS. I want to transfer the datasets from the other guest system to my guest system.
Quite an urgent requirement. It would be very kind if some can help me in achieving my goal. |

What are your site's standards for data transfers? What product(s) or data transfer protocols are normally used for data exchange (i.e. FTP, CONNECT:Direct (NDM), CA-XCOM, RJE, NJE, Gentran, Mercator, etc.) between servers? |

Hi Superk,
I am not sure but I might use FTP to transfer between the guest systems |

Well, I guess that presuming you have all of the appropriate access rights and authorities, then FTP should be fine for your requirement. |
