hi,

JES2 - USED IN DECENTRALIZED ENVIRONMENT,i.e., IN THIS EVERY PROCESSOR PROCESSES THE INCOMING JOBS INDIVIDUALLY.
MOREOVER DATASETS ARE PRE STEP ALLOCATED.

JES3 - USED IN CENTRALIZED ENVIRONMENT, i.e., THERE WILL BE A GLOBAL PROCESSOR WHICH CONTROLS ALL THE OTHER PROCESSORS.
HERE DATASETS ARE PREJOB ALLOCATED.

Many installatios use JES2
