what happens if db2 is down and we r trying to execute a cob

can any one tell me what happens when db2 is down and we r trying to execute a cobol db2 prog?

hy rakesh,

your program will fail and abend,
as soon you invoke any call to db2...

more details, just ask...

The precompile of an DB2-COBOL program will not fail if DB2 is down. Because the precompiler does not refer to the DB2 catalogue tables.
