Hi friends..

Can anyone explain about SORT- EXIT Routine which is useful to unload data from datacom tables..also any links on this..

also please tell me how to know which JCL-SORT is installed in Mainframe, i.e whether DFSORT or ICETOOL etc..

DFSORT and ICETOOL are component of the same product, DFSORT. If you want to know which sort product is installed, DFSORT or SYNCSORT or CA-SORT, then look in the SYSOUT output. It should show which product and which version you are running.

As Superk said, ICETOOL is a feature included with DFSORT. If you have DFSORT, you have ICETOOL.

To determine which sort product you're using:

Run a JCL-SORT job and look at the messages in //SYSOUT. If you see ICExxxs messages (e.g. ICE000I), you're using DFSORT. If you see WERxxxs messages, you're using Syncsort. If you see CASxxxs messages, you're using CA-SORT.
