Please do any one know what is LE and NONLE Enviornment in Mainframes.

hy DARRY,

LE means 'Language Environment',
since OS/390, LE was implemented as a common layer
above all host related program languages.
Therefore you should change to the LE conform
programming languages. VS Cobol II is not a LE
conform language, but it's load modules are also running with LE.

you can declare many performance enhancing stuff thru LE.
