regd access mode in cobol

hi in cobol
access mode is f/fb/v/vb/fba/vba can b specified.but when do v specify fba/vba n wat they stands for.when thry can be used.

According the the manuals I see, ACCESS MODE can be SEQUENTIAL, RANDOM, or DYNAMIC.

RECORDING MODE can be F (Fixed), V (Variable), U (Fixed or Variable), or S (Spanned).

its sorry yaar instead of recording mode i hav specified access mode.can i know where can i use fba/vba

Why not to use SEARCH facility in the forum first...
