Proc Options or PROCOPT is used to set the access level for an IMS database or a part of the database (segment). This is defined in the PSB.
few available options are:
R- Replace, includes G
D- Delete, includes G
G- Read only
I- Insert
A- Get & Update, includes G, R, I, D
K- Used on SENSEG statement; program will have key-only sensitivity to this segment
L- Database load

Priyesh. |

The proc option given for a PCB can be overridden by the proc option in the senseg.
But we can use K proc option for sen seg only...it wont allow us to access data in the segment other than key.we should not specify K for the PCB.
And L proc option can be used for only at PCB...
corrections welcomed....
Thanks,
Rajesh. |

hi Rajesh,
Processing option increases visability of heirarchy.by specifying PROCOPT=<<K,A,I,R,D,...etc>>. one more thing we need to tell which level whether it is PCB or Feild level. if suppose take option as "K" we can
give it as PCB level or Segment level . if you suppose take "L" we can declare it in Segment level not PCB level...
Thanks and Regards,
Venkata Prasanth
