I am allocating a dataset using utility function on ISPF.Its taking scratchpad as allocation space for my pgm even when I am giving DASD name as allocation sapce.Pls suggest some solution..... icon_cry.gif

You have to be much more specific. What utility? What pgm? What commands? What msgs?

OK IF U R ALLOCATING A DATASET USING UTILITY FOR EX (IEFBR14) A UTILITY GENERALLY USED TO ALLOCATE A DATASET THEN SPECIFY THE DCB PARAMETERS AND ALSO VOLUME SERIAL ,THEN IT WILL BE ALLOCATED .
