Does anybody know about the possibilities of losing information on the case that a failure occurs when the data is in the buffers and not yet in the disk. i am talking about the 3390 IBM MVS based system, anybody heard about this possibility?
Thanks. |

Hi El,
If the pgm abends the system closes all files associated w/the step. Close writes any data in the buffers to the file.
A system crash, on the other hand, results in the loss of buffer data. |
