Hi

one of my CICS program calls a subprogram which is described as online program. But the subprogram doesn't have any cics commands ( no EXEC CICS)...

i have 2 doubt's
1. what options makes progams online (Rent option etc)
2.why should the subprogram be made online..Can't u access a pure cobol programs (may be called batch pgms) from CICS

Plz kindly put some light on this

Cheers

if you are calling any program in online.. that program name must be registered in cics tables.

you cant call a batch program directly from cics.
