Q1) What is the use of DFHCOMMAREA and EIB.

Q2) What is the significance of specifying Pointer Ref. in CICS as S9 (8) Comp. and Length as S9(4) Comp and time as s9(7) comp-3.

q3)whenever i try to do file operations on a vsam file organization and display it in map, i get either garbage values or records of some other transid ?? Plz help

Q1) DFHCOMMAREA is used to get data from linking program. From EIB, u can know many message about last EXEC CICS statement, such as response code, fuction code, fuction key.

Q3) Maybe ur file operations is not successful.
