Hi,
In GDG if the limit is 5 then it automatically create generations for 5 days or every day need to submit the job....

i am trying out to work in GDG so please let me know

You need to submit the JCL every day (5 Days) to create 5 generation of GDG's.

gram,

It depends on how many generations job is creating in a run.
If your job is creating one generation during one full execution, then it'll take five run of that job to create 5 generations for that GDG.
Then depends on the frequency of the job you'll get 5 generations for that GDG.

Get back in case of any doubt.
