By "page", do you mean panel?
Is this an application that you are writing? If it is, you have full control over how your panels are displayed. |

i cant get u..lemme explain...suppose if i submitted a DB2 cobol program. when the job is getting executed, i go to status of job using SD;ST. it shows the status of each stage of the current job being executed. here, only when i press enter the page is getting refereshed with the current status. so can we avoid the enter and have a automated refresh is my question? |

Maybe you'd care to let everyone else know what the command "SD;ST" does on your system? Here, SD is an invalid command. I know that "ST" is a standard TSO command to query the status of batch jobs. |

Kevin,
SD is the cmd to start SDSF (that may not be the cmd your shop uses). ST is an SDSF cmd that displays the status of all the JOBs running under a previously issued PREFIX cmd (usually your TSOid*).

hello meetsrk,
Even our shop has that command. we generally say s;st in the main menu to see the status of jobs. AFAIK i dont think there is some automatic way to refresh the page. But onething i dont understand. What for you are waiting. The advantage of batch jobs is submit the job.And you can do some other work while job is executed in the background.
Thanks,
Anu |

hi Bluebird,
when i am giving &30 screen got refreshed but immediately after that
in the command prompt i am getting this and it is showing X symbol.
COMMAND INPUT ===> **** AUTO UPDATE - 30 SECONDS ****
After every 30 seconds that message is being displayed. Is this happening me only or to others also.
Thanks,
Anu |

Hi Bluebird,
Whenever I am giving &30 in command line, the message showing is "UPDATE NOT AUTHORIZED". Is it RACF which is restricting me?
Regards,
Sandip. |

Hi All,
ESCAPE may not work for some reasons. They can use SHIFT+ESC to come out of auto refresh mode.
Thanks,
Reddy. |

Its getting refreshed for every 30 seconds and because of that it will be in busy mode. press the attention key(ALT+A) to come out of that. |

I think the auto update command &30 works only in specific SDSF panels. Also to come out of the auto refresh press attention key which is specified in your customised keyboard settings of your terminal.

Check the keyboard mapping of the terminal emulator that you are using. Try the key combination which maps to PA keys.
