buffer size again

hi blue bird,

after thinking overnight,

the min. buffer size will be 512bytes and max. can be depending on the no. of records or max. buffer size will be 8 kb for all vsam files.

am i correct???

max would be 32Kb I believe... but does not mean that VSAM processing
(I/O) would get better... it is more a question of tailoring ... depending on the number of records their size, their format .... and the physical structure of your disk... all that to conclude that bigger is not better.

min size is 512 bytes.
max size is 32k.
