Hey Gowtham,
Even I've been looking for an answer for this, but haven't got any till now.
But what is that you were talking about "opening the DS in 3.4"? How does that work? |

hai Ramya,
thanks for your efforts towards this.
the way is to open the package in 3.4 is suppose that your package name is IMBP1513. in the real background it acts as an DS in TSO region. So i'll be able to open that in my 3.4 option. This is what is on my shop and i'm not well versed with respect to CHGMAN.
thanks and regads,

Hi Gowtham,
I'm not sure if our system works differently from yours. But using the Changeman package's PDS, I'll be only able to browse my components. it doesn't allow me to edit or rename them. If someone can help us in renaming a component using CMAN it should be great!! |

hai ramya,
i learnt that we can never rename a component in CHGMAN package. the only option for that is to delete the component.
corrections welcomed,

hi,
since u might have made few changes in CHGMAN package and u dont want u lose it u can do the following.
1.copy the member in a different PDS.
2.then delete it from changeman.
3.again check in the component using STAGE so that can rename or
can rename in the PDS itself and check in.
thanks,

hey..we can rename the component by staging that component to the same package. But while staging give the new name to the component in the Other name field...let me know if you have any doubts...
Thanks,
Rajesh |
