1.how to initialize a vsam file thru file-aid.
2.what'll b the disposition when i'm updating ksds file.will it b old or mod.
3.what'll b the isolation level when an embedded sql pgm is ready for compilation.

As you are modifying the VSAM Files It should be Mod.

do u mean to say like only in mod v can update a ksds file.

Yes We should use Mod for modify teh VSAM file.
