Hi,
Can anybody let me know the difference between DFSORT and
SYNCSORT. Normally we will use SORT in the JCL for sorting . Exactly which sorting machanism it will adopt.

PGM=SORT invokes the primary sort product installed at your site. That could be DFSORT, Syncsort or CA-Sort. All of these products have SORT as an alias. You can tell which product you're using by looking at the messages the product produces - DFSORT has ICExxxs messages, Syncsort has WERxxxs messages and CA-Sort has CASxxxs messages. |
