hi,
I have one doubt. that is i need to change the PSFILE(seq.file) in to
VSAM FILE.
what is the process of that , how can i get that one.Please anyone help me |

Sorry, i did not mention the type of dataset.
it is KSDS, i need ksdsfile from seqfile |

Hi Babujangam,
You cannot as such change a sequential file to Vsam file but you can copy a sequential file to Vsam file using IDCAMS - REPRO jcl.
Make sure some general parameters should match for both the files; for e.g LRECL, etc.,
Any mismatch, U will get RC=12; Sequence Error;

Hi Babujangam,
I dont think v can do ur need. any way u can use COBOL program to read it and put it in any of the VSAM file. so v should get the exact key value from the Seq file and put it into the KSDS.. so this is the way i think so.. let us c if any other applicable |
