how to create and run new base GDG's
am newbee to mainframes , not a develpoer am working on QA environment, need to change DVLP GDG's to see the output in my QA envi
how to change high level qualifiers and run them
DVLP GDG - CATU.UCHASE23.SYSOUT(+1)
like to have in Qa with say name TST.UCHASE23.SYSOUT(+1)
any help and info is appreciated

Hi ,

Well to create a new base GDG u can use IDCAMS utility

Create GDG command and provide the necessary parameters such as scratch , empty etc and u have to provide a model dataset for it also.

Alternatively u can also use the File aid to create a base GDG . Using fileaid----> 3.2
