Hi all,
I need to capture all the job details(like JESMSGLG, JESJCL,SYSOUT,...) to a different PS by giving the job name and job number of that job
I know by 'XDC' we can able to do one by one. But i need all details to be captured in a single job
Can anyone suggest me a solution
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Yogesh. |

You can use XDC for this too. Don't enter ? before you enter XDC. Enter XDC beside the Jobname. All the Spool data will go to the PS or PDS. |

Hi mmwife,
Is there any other command apart from XDC to capture all the information from the spool to a PS.
Correct me if I am wrong. |

Hi,
In the attachment you would see a zip file containing another file in the xmit format.
Download it to mainframe using recfm=fb lrecl=80 and receive it there.
In the created partitioned dataset you will see a member name sdsfext which is a rexx program doing the one you are interesting in.I am not sure but I think it must work under os390 or at least where which the "ADDRESS LINKPGM" is defined to the rexx interpreter!
Unfortunately I don't remember from where I downloaded

Hi I,
As I recall SDSF had a PRINT cmd that did what XDC does, but you had to OPEN/CLOSE the print file. XDC is much superior.
Tell me, why would you need an alt solution? |

hi frnd,
XDC is used to move the spool area output to any PS.. so just go the spool area and in the place of the job name just insetead of '?' use XDC and enter the PDS path.. then it creates the file automatically. check it out. and let me know. |
