Hi,

I am having some PDS members for which I would like to know the history like
- the creator
- the number of times it was modified
- the persons who edited it
and these sort of historical info.

We don't have any tools in our company and hence I would like to know whether there are any TSO commands to find out these.

Thanks,
Anto

Nope.

You'll probably need to look at the SMF records for dataset opens and closes on the PDS's in question.

Hi Giscard,

Type COMAPRE SESSION in the TSO command line which will tell you what are the changes that you made for the program. It won't give you the actual count.

Type CONSPROF - it is a session control which defines USER CONSOLE CHARACTERISTICS.

Also check with this command TSO PROFILE
The profile command is used either to specify to the system certain user characteristics which are to be used to control the flow of information to and from the terminal or to list the user profile. The user profile is retained throughout each terminal session unless the user wishes to change it by issuing the profile command again and specifying the appropriate operands.

Hope this helps...

Hi Giscard,

Regarding your query
-------------------------
I am having some PDS members for which I would like to know the history like
- the creator
- the number of times it was modified
- the persons who edited it
and these sort of historical info.

Posible Solution
------------------
Open your PDS in any one mode (Edit/Browse). when we do a PF11(right shifting) we can find the VV MM which says the version number of the member and the number of times modified. Also the modifier's ID will be displayed.

Hope this answers your question.

Code:
Name     Prompt          Size     Init       Mod       VV MM          ID
. SAMPPRG1                   401      370       382       01.48        SAMPUSR1
. SAMPPRG2                   400      370       378       01.46        SAMPUSR2
. SAMPPRG3                   360      549         0       01.36        SAMPUSR3
. SAMPPRG4                   308        7         0       01.11        SAMPUSR4
. SAMPPRG5                   515      444       127       01.05        SAMPUSR5
. SAMPPRG6                   617      617         6       01.01        SAMPUSR6
. SAMPPRG7                   598      598         0       01.00        SAMPUSR7

Only way is SMF.Catch your system admin to know such information if you dont have access to smf records.
