How to enter into IMS and how to retreice segments

i want complete prgrams of ims db and i want how to enter in to ims and how retrieve the segments

hi,

if you want to retrieve the segments and the data's in a IMS database using a read edit program , the first thing you want to know is the DBD and the PSB declaration for your IMS database.

This information is important since you need to give SSA's based on the key segments.

First try to get the DBD and PSB map in order to find out the structure of your IMS database
