ADRDSSU can be used to copy full volumes (physical copy) or data sets (logical copy) to disk or tape. Getting the options right depends upon a number of factors, so you should consult your site support group for assistance.

I would first go for the logical copy as that will update VTOCs VVDSs etc, which I am not so sure that a physical restore does. I do believe that a physical restore of VSAM clusters will have some catalog issues. Of course you must be aware of SMS when you copy.

Show us what DFDSS Copy Statements you would like to use. Some things may work, others might not..

Get out the manual and figure it out yourself. This is a HELP forum, not a DO MY WORK FOR ME forum. If it doesn't work, post what you have done and we can try to HELP you.

For the most part, the people that try to HELP others have been through the school of hard knocks and LEARNED from experience. As an alternative, HIRE a professional to do YOUR work for you, but don't expect to get something of value for nothing.

Especially don't post such topics in an expert forum unless you are very confident of yourself. icon_surprised.gif
