Hi all,
We have an online program that abends with the below message :
DFHAC2001 17/04/2019 15:26:56 TRANSACTION 'CRTX' IS NOT RECOGNIZED.
CHECK THAT THE TRANSACTION NAME IS CORRECT.
We havent seen that transaction before.
Can someone explain when this is trigerred and what is this transaction used for?
Thank you in advance!

A quick google shows this to be a CICS-supplied transaction related to dynamic transaction routing. It would appear that this is not installed in the CICS region where you see this message but DTRTRAN=CRTX is specified or defaulted in your SIT. If you are trying to implement dynamic transaction routing, your setup is incomplete.

Can dynamic transaction routing happen because of an error in the program?
This happened after a change. |

Yes, for example an EXEC CICS START or EXEC CICS LINK might incorrectly specify that a transaction or program is to be run in another region.

The program appears to be fine now. Thank you for the explanation. Apparently it had nothing to do with dynamic routing but an incorrect insert to a table. |
