Can we use print ch ids(/) option in 3.4 for viewing a VSAM file? The manual mentions that this option can be used via JCL.

Hi all,
I used the 'print ch ids(/)' to view my vsam file in the catalogue.
But i could not view the nonnumeric data.((i.e: 'a-z',A-Z) . the numbers are visible even when declared as alphanumeric. I used the 'rev' command to view it .the view is allowed.
All i need is the actual difference between the 2 commands.
Thanks,
