How can I handle the above as using below is giving error.

ssingh8: There are four problems with your request.- You will probably get a more useful response with a more usable title. I would suggest something like, "How can I use data sets with variable length records with Easytrieve"
- You are making at least two requests here. Try to limit your topic to one thing at a time.
- Just saying "xxx does not work" is not very helpful. Any messages you received, with the message ID, would be a great help.
- Try to find the message in the program documentation. I realize these can be very difficult to understand, but we can often help you much better with this information.
- CA spends a great deal of money preparing documentation for their products. Have you spent time in their documentation trying to find out how they support data sets with variable length records? I'd bet it is there!
- Finally, if you are a legitimate user of the product, CA support is often a great help in using their product. Use this resource before posting here or in similar resources,
Sadly, I do not use or have access to Easytrieve, so I can't answer your query. |

Are you getting an Easytrieve error? If so, which of the hundreds are you getting?
Are you getting a system error? If so, which of the hundreds are you getting?
Are you getting some other error you have not described?
In other words, you could do a LOT more to help us help you. |
