Hi all,
Want to receive mixed cases from the MAP. my terminal is auto installed with UCTRAN=YES; So TYPETERM or SET TERMINAL doesnt have effect on my transaction.
From the forum understood that, by setting PROFILE's UCTRAN = NO, i would able to received mixed cases.
But not sure how to code for it...?
How can i get the profile id inside the program?
How can i get the group name inside the program(Which is part of Profile syntax)?
Requesting your help |

From the Technote www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21539089, the table indicates that PROFILE setting of UCTRAN to NO and TYPETERM setting of UCTRAN to YES means the data and TRANID will be translated to upper case. This will not give you the results you want.
In general, translation and non-translation of CICS data to upper case is NOT an application decision; translation impacts the region and hence is a decision for the site support group. In other words, you need to contact your site support group and stop trying to do something that applications should not be doing. |
