Hi,
My question is what are the benefits of removing TIME=1440 parameter in jobcard in JCL. Kindly can anyone help me on this.

TIME=1440 tells the system to let the job / task / step run as long as it can. Removing the parameter may cause the job to ABEND for lack of CPU time; the exact amount of time allowed depends upon the way your system is set up. |

Plenty of benefit. Suppose your program is looping - you want it terminate as soon as possible. |
