Hi,

I am upgrading CICS TS from V4.1 to V5.3 and there are many new SIT parameters since V4.1.

The documentation tells what they are but does not indicate what the behavior of CICS in prior releases that did not have this new SIT parameter.

I want to ensure CICS behaves as much as possible the same as the release I am upgrading from abut I don't have much information on how CICS behaved prior to the new SIT parameter to I can select the best option.

Is there any documentation that indicates the CICS behavior prior to the the new SIT parameters that could help me determine the correct value at V5.3?

These are the new SIT parameters given since V4.1:

HTTPSERVERHDR sets the value for HTTP Server field
HTTPUSRAGENTHDR sets the value for HTTP User-Agent field
MINTLSLEVEL replaces ENCRYPTION
NISTSP800131A specifies whether the CICS® region is to check for conformance to the NIST SP800-131A standard.
NQRNL specifies that z/OS global resource serialization uses RNL processing for enqueue and dequeue requests from CICS
RACFSYNC specifies whether CICS® listens for type 71 ENF events.
SECVFYFREQ specifies whether or not CICS® makes a full verification request at least once a day for each user ID that is used to log on to the CICS region.
SOTUNING controls the performance tuning for HTTP connections
TSMAINLIMIT specifies a limit for the storage that is available for main temporary storage queues to use. You can specify an amount of storage in the range 1 - 32768 MB (32 GB), but this amount must not be greater than 25% of the value of the z/OS® parameter MEMLIMIT. The default is 64 MB.
USSCONFIG specifies the name and path of the root directory for CICS® Transaction Server configuration files on z/OS® UNIX.

Thanks,
Kyle.
